The holidays are the perfect time of year for an engaging team activity. Incorporating a team
building game into your virtual holiday party helps unite your team, celebrate the year’s
successes, and bond outside of the workplace context. At Escapely, we offer interactive and fun
virtual holiday party games that get everyone in the holiday spirit. Coworkers let loose, have
some fun, and get really into the competition!
Our virtual holiday party games are all live hosted with plenty of staff to keep the excitement
level high. We take care of all of the heavy lifting from planning to execution, leaving the event
organizers to enjoy the virtual holiday party with the rest of the team - it’s just how it should be because the whole point of the party is to have some year-end fun!
For year-end holiday parties, we offer three virtual holiday party games, all themed with optional
holiday twists: a virtual escape game, virtual trivia, and virtual murder mystery (yes, with a
holiday twist!). Most of our clients appreciate that our games are not heavily weighted toward any specific holiday. They are inclusive to all holiday traditions and instead focus on the holidays in general. However, for those looking to reference specific holidays, like a virtual office Christmas party, we do offer themed trivia rounds of your choosing.
We also offer festive add-ons to your virtual holiday party, like holiday cocktail classes,
chocolate tastings, and wine tastings for participants to enjoy. These add-ons make a great kick-off to your game, or you can let participants stay and rehash the virtual holiday team
building activities over a wine tasting. Our event coordinators will discuss the logistics and goals of your specific event and help you craft the perfect virtual holiday party for your team!
While all of our virtual escape room themes make great virtual holiday party games, Escape the Ice Palace has a storyline specifically themed for the holidays. Participants must collaborate to solve puzzles and clues, progress from stage to stage, and ultimately “save” the holidays when they escape. Our virtual escape rooms require communication and teamwork
and best of all, everyone says they can’t believe how much fun it was!
We start your whole group together on one link and then break everyone into smaller teams who play the game as a race (don’t worry, we handle it all). Each team gets a dedicated moderator guiding them through the game, providing hints, and making sure everyone has a blast. The competition gets teams working together right off the bat and also provides a bonding
experience for the whole group at the end - the friendly trash talking is all part of the fun! Explore Escape the Ice Palace and all of our other virtual escape games. Escape the Desert Island is another popular choice for virtual holiday parties!
We offer a virtual murder mystery with a virtual holiday party game twist! There has been a
murder, and it is up to your team to figure out who did it. Your group will interview suspects,
review evidence, check alibis, determine who is lying, and do their best to crack the case. In the
holiday edition, the murder has occurred right before the holidays and our actors, in character as
the suspects, keep the holidays at the front of the storyline. Our actors are known for their
incredible adlib skills and will keep your team laughing and enjoying themselves as teams get to
play investigator for a day.
Your employees won’t need to memorize any lines or play any parts - leave all of that to us! All
they need to do is channel their inner true crime obsession and investigate what has happened.
We break your larger group into small teams that rotate through all of the suspects and try to
uncover as much evidence and as many facts as possible. At the end, teams get some time
together to deliberate and make their accusations. They will be scored on identifying the correct
motives, lies, and of course, accusing the right suspect. Then, we come back together to reveal
the plot and announce the winning team!
Virtual trivia is a great way to bring your team together to showcase everyone’s hidden
knowledge. Coworkers will learn more about each other than they ever knew! Teams rotate
through six themed rapid-fire trivia rounds of your choice. For virtual holiday party ideas, you can choose holiday-themed trivia rounds that focus on specific cultures, or our more
broad “Holidays Around the World” categories. Many teams throw in a few general knowledge
categories to keep it interesting. We can also create custom categories for absolutely anything -
the sky is the limit!
For each round, we provide a dedicated quizmaster to guide your team through the questions
and the theme. Our amazing quizmasters will keep the holiday spirit high and make sure
everyone is laughing and having a blast. In between rounds, we bring all of the teams back
together for live score updates to keep the competitive juices flowing and make sure everyone is
engaged until the very last question. At the end, we announce the winners and your team is
welcome to stay on the link to rehash and celebrate.
What better way to celebrate the holidays than to treat your team to a guided tasting of delicious handmade chocolates. A chocolatier will guide you and your coworkers through an informative and tasty adventure. You will learn how chocolate is made, some history, and have a chance to ask any questions you would like. We ship each participant their kit of chocolates in a beautiful box before the event. This tasting makes a great add-on to one of our virtual holiday team building activities or a wonderful stand-alone event!
In our interactive cocktail class, you and your team will learn to make two tasty cocktails of your choice. We can do a cocktail and a mocktail or any combination you choose. A mixologist will lead the cocktail-making demonstration, complete with fun facts and an opportunity to ask any questions you have. We ship each participant a kit that includes all ingredients and alcohol (if chosen) - or you may also elect to have your team BYOB. This is a great warm-up to our virtual holiday party games!
Our wine tasting add-on is an interactive guided tasting through a series of wine varietals. A knowledgeable winemaker or sommelier will lead you and your team through the tasting while you learn about flavor profiles, pairings, and more - for added fun, we can provide song and book pairings for each wine! Each participant will receive a kit in the mail containing all of the wines and instructions regarding how to care for them prior to the tasting.
Virtual holiday parties hold many advantages over their traditional in-person counterparts. For one, a holiday party online is much more convenient for attendees. There is no lost transportation time and all employees can participate regardless of their time zone, geographical location, or other commitments. If employees are spread out geographically or even already out on PTO around the holidays, a virtual holiday party can still conveniently unite them all. We operate our virtual holiday team building activities in every time zone, so it’s just a matter of choosing the right date and time for your team!
Second, virtual holiday parties are easier to organize and execute than in-person gatherings. There are no venues to reserve, transportation to organize, catering to negotiate, or other details specific to in-person parties. The execution is even easier with Escapely, because we handle all details of your virtual holiday party game from planning to execution. Most teams make our games the focal point of their virtual holiday party, leaving little else to organize, and we always allow some time after the game for attendees to stay on the link and socialize.
Lastly, a virtual holiday party is a much more cost-effective alternative to an in-person party. There are no expensive venue rentals or food and beverage tabs. At the same time, our virtual events are fully staffed, premium experiences that your whole team will rave about. The comment we hear the most often is that clients didn’t know what to expect from a virtual party but our virtual holiday party games make the party at least as fun if not more fun than anything they have done together in person!

The virtual holiday party games we offer are already customized with a festive twist. Escape the Ice Palace is our holiday-themed virtual escape room that is always a hit amongst coworkers.
