We recommend a computer or tablet because of the larger screen size. However, when a cell phone is the only option, the game can be played on a phone as well!

Not much! Just yourself, your brain, and a device that is connected to the internet. You might find it useful to have a cell phone handy as we do allow use of the internet during our games. If your event is over Teams, Google Meet, or Webex, we also recommend scratch paper.

• For the best experience, join from the Zoom app rather than the web version. Participants who join from the web version can still play, but may not be able to annotate on the screen – which makes the game more fun!
• If you have the desktop app downloaded, it will open automatically when you click the link. If you are new to Zoom, you will be prompted to download the app when you click the link to join. To prepare in advance, download the desktop app here.
• While in the waiting room, you will be prompted to test your audio. If anything is not working, first try exiting and restarting the app.

Escape the Desert Island contains a good mix of word puzzles, math puzzles, spatial puzzles, and logic games. Everyone will have their moment to shine and moment to learn! If your team runs into any trouble, your dedicated moderator is there to help throughout the entire experience.
