The best Cincinnati escape room experience
About the escape room game
This escape room adventure around The Banks takes the best parts of an escape room and the best parts of a scavenger hunt and merges them into the most fun thing to do in Cincinnati. You get to search for clues hidden in the real world and then use them to solve escape room puzzles. When you solve for a code, the app will tell you where to go look for your next clue! Instead of trying to escape the room, this Escapely adventure takes you around Cincinnati's The Banks to track down clues and expose double agents!
This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in Cincinnati. It takes you on a clue-solving adventure to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on our Cincinnati escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way. In Escapely's The Banks escape room, you are a top secret spy tasked with exposing a ring of double agents threatening to take down the agency. We suggest starting at a local coffee and wine bar in The Banks neighborhood. It's perfect place to solve the first puzzle before embarking on your escape room adventure. The first clue is Black Brigade of Cincinnati Monument. The Black Brigade, organized in 1862, consisted of some of the first African American soldiers employed by the Union in the Civil War. This is especially notable because of the tense race relations in Cincinnati at the time, right on the border with then slave-state Kentucky. Next, you'll head to the Castellini Esplanade in Smale Riverfront Park. If you're there on a Saturday in the summer, you might be able to take advantage of one of the free evening concerts - be sure to also keep the crowds in mind when planning your escape room start time. If you're playing with kids, the park also has a playground, numerous spash pads, and water features. The next puzzle takes you to the Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame. It's a music and technology experience that celebrates Cincinnati's rich Black music history. Take a break from scanning the QR codes on our puzzles and scan the QR codes along this walk - each one gives information about an artist and their musical history, as well as an augmented reality experience that brings the artist’s work to life. You will get to walk by Carol Ann’s Carousel, an amusement park ride open most of the year. While it isn't a clue, we recommend stopping in if you're with kids! Adults and baseball fans will be thrilled by the next clue, which is found outside of the Great American Ballpark, home of the Cincinnati Reds. Solve the puzzle as you take close note of the statues of famous Cincinnati baseball players. To close out your Cincinnati escape room experience, head back to Smale Riverfront Park to the Moerlein Lager House. It's the perfect place to grab a beer and a bite to eat while you solve the closing puzzles and complete your escape!

Tracking down and exposing a double agent in the Banks of Cincinnati
I thought it was great. There were 5 of us, all college educated and or in college. It was difficult, but not too difficult. Each one of us ended up solving a portion of the puzzle and or pointing out the key factor.
From the start we knew what the ending would be, but had to work to solve each phase of the puzzle.

Fun, Accessible Adventure & Great Way to Explore the City!
We had a great experience with our Escapely game! One of the things we appreciated most was how everything was accessible and followed an efficient walking path — it made it easy to navigate and really enjoyable to explore without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. It was the perfect way to get introduced to a new city!
The clues were cleverly embedded into different areas, which added a fun layer of discovery and made us pay closer attention to our surroundings. It felt like a mix between a scavenger hunt and a walking tour — super engaging and creative.
Highly recommend this for anyone who wants to explore in a unique, interactive way!

Highly recommend. Enjoy the experience!
This was a great experience! Everyone had fun and enjoyed solving the puzzles. The difficulty level was good. Not too hard and not too easy to solve the clues. The last one requires using a lot of hints, highly recommend this and appreciate that it was in the DORA district so we could have cocktails while we played.

Educational Fun
Our group included adults and teenagers. This experience was definitely challenging, yet multiple hints are provided to help you progress. We needed a lot of hints with the first challenges. By the end, we improved and needed fewer hints. We enjoyed learning about the Black Bridge Brigade and hunting for clues. Listening to the Black Music Walk of Fame had the teens breaking out their dance moves. It was a great educational experience and we will be doing another Outdoor Escape room someday. Thanks for a great time!

Great family fun
It was a great game we had fun doing it as a family. My kids enjoyed solving puzzles and pretending to be spys. We didn’t have any complaints other than wishing we would have pick a nicer day, but all in all it was a great time.
