A great way to spend an afternoon around STL

We loved this game, such a great way to see the city! We took our 13 year old, who definitely would’ve complained about walking around that much were it not for the engaging game, but she loved it! I like that there are as many hints available as you need, so you can decide when you’re stumped and get just enough info to move on while still feeling like you’re working for it. We ended up spending most of the day doing this, but took it slow, stopping for food, etc.

Fun Time, Great way to see a portion of the City!

We had never been to St Louis before, but enjoy Escape rooms and thought this would be fun. The puzzles were interesting and difficult (though not too difficult), the story was fun, and the website was great in terms of orienting us and giving hints. Will definitely use again.

About the escape room game

This escape room adventure around St. Louis takes the best parts of an escape room and the best parts of a scavenger hunt and merges them into the most fun thing to do in Philadelphia. You get to search for clues hidden in the real world and then use them to solve escape room puzzles. When you solve for a code, the app will tell you where to go look for your next clue! Instead of trying to escape the room, this Escapely adventure takes you around St. Louis to track down clues and expose double agents!

This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in St. Louis. It takes you on a clue-solving adventure to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on our St. Louis escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way.

In Escapely's St. Louis escape room, you are a top secret spy tasked with exposing a ring of double agents threatening to take down the agency. We suggest starting at Pharaoh’s Donuts to solve the first puzzle, or anywhere nearby. For your first clue, you'll head to the Old Post Office Plaza in front of St. Louis's historic Old Post Office. Then we take you to Citygarden Sculpture Park, an urban patch of interactive art, sculptures, fountains, and gardens. If the weather's nice, you can stay to explore before moving on.

Your next clue is at Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. While there, you'll take a closer look at the Cardinals Hall of Fame to learn a little more about some of the most famous players while solving the escape room. To wrap up and solve your final puzzle, we suggest Condado Tacos on 601 Clark Ave #104 but you can choose any place in the area you would like to eat, drink, and solve puzzles. While you're in Downtown St. Louis, enjoy the beautiful views of the iconic Gateway Arch and take a stroll along the Mississippi River. And be sure to snap a few photos!

Yes, but it is not generally recommended unless you are a serious escape room enthusiast. It would be like playing an escape room that has the same storyline and similar puzzles, but with different clues available. Because the clues are integrated within Downtown St. Louis, the clues are different from all other Spyhunter games. But the puzzles will feel familiar.
Downtown St. Louis has been the beneficiary of revitalization over the last several decades, making it a vibrant blend of nightlife, history, and outdoor space. The iconic Gateway Arch on the Mississippi Riverfront can be seen throughout Downtown. The city took great care to ensure inclusive economic growth so that diverse communities could thrive. Union Station, the old St. Louis railroad station, is now a lively center with restaurants, shops, and an outdoor plaza. If you have extra time after playing the escape room, you might want to take a walk around the gorgeous SLU campus in Downtown St. Louis. The area has so much to offer, it was hard to choose which locations to use as clues.
It's both! In a traditional escape room you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next to escape the room (or a series of rooms). In Escape the City you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next, with clues in the real world. It's one of the best things to do in St. Louis!
There is metered parking throughout Downtown St. Louis and you can also find plenty of paid lots. Try to find a spot near Pharaoh’s Donuts on 202 N 9th St to be close to the first clue and the rest of the escape room route.
