Immersive, creative, and I felt like a tourist.

This escape room was amazing and so much fun to explore around Little Havana. I’m from Gables and have lived here my whole life, but have never taken time to explore the Domino park, admire the Cuban murals, or seen so many street chickens in my life lol. We do a lot of escape rooms, but this was really unique with puzzles that made us explore around, inspect more carefully, and appreciate our surroundings. When we were done, food in the area was also just an awesome treat on top. Just don’t park your car near the chickens, we made that mistake!

The best Miami escape room experience

About the escape room game

This escape room adventure around Little Havana takes the best parts of an escape room and the best parts of a scavenger hunt and merges them into the most fun thing to do in Miami. You get to search for clues hidden in the real world and then use them to solve escape room puzzles. When you solve for a code, the app will tell you where to go look for your next clue! Instead of trying to escape the room, this Escapely adventure takes you around Little Havana to track down clues and crack the case!

This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in Miami. It takes you on a clue-solving adventure to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on our Little Havana escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way.

Escapely's Miami escape room begins with a murder that you have been called in to solve. You must put on your detective hat and find clues and suspects around Little Havana. (The clues are in the real world, but the suspects are on our app.) Much of the game takes place on the historic Calle Ocho, known for authentic Cuban restaurants and colorful street fairs. There are also bakeries, ice cream shops, bars, and restaurants called ventanitas serving fresh Cuban food from takeout windows. To make this escape room game family friendly, we avoided the cigar shops on the route, but they are there if you would like to enjoy!

Your first clue is in Maximo Gomez Park, known as Domino Park because at any time of day you will encounter regulars sipping Cuban coffee and playing dominoes! The park is also decorated with domino tiles and even has seating for spectators. Other clues are found on local murals, tilework, and you will also visit Cuban Memorial Boulevard Park that pays homage to Cuban soldiers.

Miami escape room FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes, but it is not generally recommended unless you are a serious escape room enthusiast. It would be like playing an escape room that has the same storyline and similar puzzles, but with different clues available. Because the clues are integrated within Little Havana, the clues are different than all other Whodunnit games. But the puzzles will feel familiar.
Little Havana mixes culture, history, and modern life into one of Miami's most vibrant and exciting neighborhoods. Walking around the area is fun on its own, let alone while playing an outdoor escape room. You can smell delicious Cuban bakeries, ventanitas serving authentic food through takeout windows, and stop in to enjoy one of Little Havana's bars. There is even a Little Havana Paseo de las Estrellas (walk of stars). We enjoy designing escape rooms in vibrant, walkable areas with plenty of murals and color - Little Havana hits all of the marks.
It's both! In a traditional escape room you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next to escape the room (or a series of rooms). In Escape the City you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next, with clues in the real world. It's one of the best things to do in Miami!
We recommend parking near the intersection of SW 15th Ave and SW 8th St. Little Havana is a small neighborhood and the escape room takes place in a one-mile stretch, so any parking lot in the area will be close!
There are no indoor clues in our Miami escape room game. Everything is publicly accessible.
It's a self-guided adventure around Little Havana for couples, families, individuals, friend groups, and anyone else looking for a fun thing to do in Miami and a great way to explore the neighborhood.
