This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in Columbus. It takes you on a clue-solving adventure to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on our Columbus escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way. Escapely's Columbus escape room starts off at the Columbus Commons garage to take a closer look at a plaque posted on the outside. You'll need the plaque to solve the puzzles! Next, you'll visit the historic Ohio Theatre, which was designed to bring opulence and beauty to the everyday moviegoer - not just the elite. You'll get to take a beautiful walk around Capitol Square, which houses the Ohio Statehouse (in addition to Escapely clues!). Another fun fact is that Abe Lincoln was right here in Columbus when he received the news that he had been elected president. To close out your Columbus escape room experience, you'll spend some time in Battelle Riverfront Park, which is one of the most beautiful and walkable areas of downtown Columbus. It contains many memorials and monuments honoring historical figures, first responders, and many more. It's also a stunning place to spend an afternoon. Fun adventure in our city!
My family of 6 (2 parents, 3 young adults and 1 teenager) had an awesome time. We loved how the clues truely integrated with the locations. It did not in any anyway feel like it was just a cookie cutter and barely matched the city. We were extra excited when my husband’s ancestor was even a clue in the hunt! We got to see parts of the city we have lived in all our lives that we have never visited.
We look forward to trying some other cities in our travels as we are big escape room fans!

Great puzzle game to explore Downtown Columbus
Had a great time playing the Columbus Escapely. Our group comprised of escape room and puzzle fans, but definitely not experts. We felt the difficulty level was just right for us. We felt challenged, but not to the point of getting stuck.
The game did an excellent job of incorporating actual Columbus landmarks and requires you to use them to solve the puzzles. I really appreciated that level of detail in the game.
Logistically, it took us 2 or so hours, 3 if you count coffee/snacks at the start (Parable), and lunch before solving the end puzzle (North Market). I didn’t measure out the mileage, but it felt accurate at around 1.5-2 miles.
This was a great activity to explore downtown Columbus and I highly recommend it!

Well Done Escapely… Well done!
Super clever and fun. Took us about 3 hours. Had a blast working our way around Downtown and seeing some cool sights. Highly recommend for some quality family time fun.
