In Escapely's Salt Lake City escape room, you're a detective tasked with solving a mysterious murder. You must find clues and track suspects around the downtown area. (The clues are in the real world, but the suspects are on our app.) The game begins at a fact pole in a downtown green area. You will get to spend some time learning a little more about the animals and plant life found in Salt Lake City, a little about the Ute tribe that once inhabited the area, and more about the Great Salt Lake. Next, you'll walk to City Creek Bridge, a steel pedestrian sky bridge made from steel that had to be lifted into place in one piece above the train power lines in the middle of the night.

One of the most fun clues in the Salt Lake City escape room is the "You Are Here" art installation, an eclectic collection of signs that also makes a great photo op. Next, you get to walk up and down Main St to take a closer look at the businesses in the area. It's also a great opportunity to stop for a bite to eat or grab a drink. Finally, you will look for clues at the Book Wall mural, where you can get a picture of your team appearing to hold up giant books. You can end the game anywhere you like, but we suggest Kafe Mamai as a place to solve the final puzzle. This outdoor escape room is the perfect way to explore walkable and interesting downtown Salt Lake City.

It would be like playing an escape room that has the same storyline and similar puzzles, but with different clues available. Because the clues are integrated within Salt Lake City, the clues are different than all other Whodunnit games. But the puzzles will feel familiar.

Downtown Salt Lake City is known as a dynamic and artistic area, with a mix of high rises, residential areas, art galleries, restaurants, bars, and museums. In the summer, there are open-air concerts, farmers markets, and plenty of people out and about. It's very walkable (and even has free public transportation throughout the downtown) so it's perfect place to play an escape game adventure. And while you play, you are surrounded by gorgeous views, because the town is directly at the foot of the mountains. At night, the Temple lights up, creating a beautiful sight against the backdrop of the mountains. And while Salt Lake City is quieter than many cities its size, a thriving food scene and increasing selection of coffee shops and bars offer plenty to do after you play.
