The best Phoenix escape room experience

About the escape room game

This escape room adventure around downtown Phoenix takes the best parts of an escape room and the best parts of a scavenger hunt and merges them into the most fun thing to do in Phoenix. You get to search for clues hidden in the real world and then use them to solve escape room puzzles. When you solve for a code, the app will tell you where to go look for your next clue! Instead of trying to escape the room, this Escapely adventure takes you around downtown Phoenix to track down and expose double agents!

This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in Phoenix. It takes you on a clue-solving adventure to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on our Phoenix escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way.

In Escapely's Phoenix escape room, you are a top secret spy tasked with exposing a ring of double agents threatening to take down the agency. We suggest starting near the Geographical Center of Phoenix so that you will be close to your first clue stop. As you crack codes and advance throughout the escape game, you'll find clues at the Charles Korrick Fountain, Phoenix's old city hall, and the historic Hotel San Carlos. You will also visit the Phoenix Convention Center.

In the same area, you'll find the Arizona Science Center, the Phoenix Symphony Hall, and several ASU campuses in downtown Phoenix. As you play, we recommend a few places to stop to eat and drink, such as a coffee shop to start the game and Ingo's Tasty Food if you'd like a place to eat afterward.

Phoenix escape room FAQ

Yes, but it is not generally recommended unless you are a serious escape room enthusiast. It would be like playing an escape room that has the same storyline and similar puzzles, but with different clues available. Because the clues are integrated within downtown Phoenix, the clues are different than all other spyhunter games. But the puzzles will feel familiar.
Downtown Phoenix is a vibrant business and entertainment area with both modern and historical buildings. The Arizona Science Center is an incredible place to take a family and Arizona Center has a beautiful landscaped park where you can enjoy an outdoor meal or snack. Heritage Square is the site of original Phoenix where you can find historical architecture and many interesting dining options. There is also an event called First Friday that gathers Phoenix's up and coming artists for a festival on the first Friday of each month. If you want to avoid crowds, we recommend playing our Phoenix escape room on a different day.
It's both! In a traditional escape room you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next to escape the room (or a series of rooms). In Escape the City you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next, with clues all around downtown Phoenix.
The outdoor escape room takes place in a small area. You will walk about 1.5 miles from start to finish so anywhere near the game route will work. We recommend parking near the geographical center of Phoenix as that is close to your first clue.
There is one indoor clue that is in a publicly accessible building in downtown Phoenix open 24 hours.
It's a self-guided adventure around downtown Phoenix for couples, families, individuals, friend groups, and anyone else looking for a fun thing to do in downtown Phoenix.
