The best Brooklyn escape room experience
About the escape room game
This escape room adventure around Prospect Heights in Brooklyn takes the best parts of an escape room and the best parts of a scavenger hunt and merges them into the most fun thing to do in Brooklyn. You get to search for clues hidden in the real world and then use them to solve escape room puzzles. When you solve for a code, the app will tell you where to go look for your next clue! Instead of trying to escape the room, this Escapely adventure takes you around Brooklyn to track down ghosts and reunite two star-crossed lovers!
This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in Brooklyn or even all of NYC (tied with our Central Park adventure). It takes you on a clue-solving adventure to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on our Brooklyn escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way. Escapely's Brooklyn escape room starts off at Grand Army Plaza to visit the iconic Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Arch. It's called NYC's Arc de Triomphe and we highly recommend taking a picture! You'll find clues on several of the monuments and statues in the plaza. Next, you'll head to the Brooklyn Museum. You won't have time to do it justice while you're playing the escape room, but the Brooklyn Museum's art collection is impressive and worth returning for. The next part of our Brooklyn outdoor escape room will take you to Central Library, Brooklyn's public library. In addition to being an NYC landmark, it's a sight to behold with a stunning entrance. Then on to Dr. Ronald McNair Park, an homage to the esteemed black physicist and astronaut who tragically perished in the Challenger disaster. Learn a little more about his legacy while combing the area for clues. To celebrate your escape, we suggest heading to Franklin Park, but you can visit any of the numerous food and drink options in Prospect Heights!

Fun and Games in Brooklyn
Escapely is a great way to pass a few hours playing a game as well as seeing a little bit of a neighborhood. The puzzles grade up nicely in difficulty, the walking distance is manageable and its amazing to see how small things you might overlook suddenly can be turned into brainteasers. I’d say to give this about 2 hours to complete, and you’ll feel satisfied afterwards!

Fun Outdoor Escape Game
My daughter (age 26) and I chose this activity for a mother-daughter day, and it was great! The game took us to some of Brooklyn’s most iconic sites, all within close walking distance, which was particularly amazing given we had nice weather. We love escape rooms and thought the clues were just the right level of difficulty, and there was a nice variety of puzzles. Would love to do this again in Central Park if a different storyline becomes available.

Great puzzles, lots of fun!
This is the second Escapely that my nephew and I have done together. We love the puzzles, which are a good mix in difficulty. Plus, it’s a great way to get to know parts of New York. We’re anxiously awaiting more escapes in New York! Highly recommend.

A fun day in Brooklyn
A fun and reasonably challenging Escape Room in a Box. Nearly all outdoors, so I would do it on a warmish day. Not too much walking invovled and a chance to see a nice part of Brooklyn. The story is fun and the various puzzles ramp up nicely in difficulty. Looking forward to doing more of these!
