Open your clue box near City Creek Food Court in downtown Salt Lake City to begin your adventure.
Begin solving using anything you see in the box. Scan the QR code to input your solution and find out where to go.

Much better than others

We loved this. We have done mobile scavenger hunts and other similar activities in many cities, but this one was the best so far. The puzzles were just the right level of difficulty, not so easy that we weren’t challenged, but not so hard that we weren’t having fun. Actually incorporating the city locations into the clues was well done, also. Plus having a physical box was a fun addition. I will recommend this to friends and look for Escapely games in other cities in the future.

It was a brain teaser!

There were six of us all family and we really had a good time. All would highly recommend this escape adventure it was a lot of fun and it was very brain teasing

A fun, downtown adventure!

It was a wonderful experience. We have now bought the box three times because my teenage sons both wanted to do it with their friends. It was nice to see that it was very SLC-specific, not just a cookie-cutter mystery that could be inserted into any city with a few minor tweaks. It was fun to have multiple teams do it in parallel and then compare notes over dinner afterward.
It was also nice not having a particular time pressure like most indoor escape rooms. That would have been a lot less fun. Worth the money!

The best way to spend a day in the city

It was absolutely amazing!!!! We had a blast and would do it again if that were am option!!! The puzzles were pleasantly difficult and challenging some harder than others but a perfect transition of walking around seeing cool things and having a fun time!

You get to search for clues hidden in the real world and then use them to solve escape room puzzles. When you solve for a code, the app will tell you where to go look for your next clue! Instead of trying to escape the room, this Escapely adventure takes you around SLC to track down clues and crack the case!

This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in Salt Lake City. It takes you on a clue-solving adventure to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on Escapely's Salt Lake City escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way.

In Escapely's Salt Lake City escape room, you're a detective tasked with solving a mysterious murder. You must find clues and track suspects around the downtown area. (The clues are in the real world, but the suspects are on our app.) The game begins at a fact pole in a downtown green area. You will get to spend some time learning a little more about the animals and plant life found in Salt Lake City, a little about the Ute tribe that once inhabited the area, and more about the Great Salt Lake. Next, you'll walk to City Creek Bridge, a steel pedestrian sky bridge made from steel that had to be lifted into place in one piece above the train power lines in the middle of the night.

One of the most fun clues in the Salt Lake City escape room is the "You Are Here" art installation, an eclectic collection of signs that also makes a great photo op. Next, you get to walk up and down Main St to take a closer look at the businesses in the area. It's also a great opportunity to stop for a bite to eat or grab a drink. Finally, you will look for clues at the Book Wall mural, where you can get a picture of your team appearing to hold up giant books. You can end the game anywhere you like, but we suggest Kafe Mamai as a place to solve the final puzzle. This outdoor escape room is the perfect way to explore walkable and interesting downtown Salt Lake City.

It would be like playing an escape room that has the same storyline and similar puzzles, but with different clues available. Because the clues are integrated within Salt Lake City, the clues are different than all other Whodunnit games. But the puzzles will feel familiar.

Downtown Salt Lake City is known as a dynamic and artistic area, with a mix of high rises, residential areas, art galleries, restaurants, bars, and museums. In the summer, there are open-air concerts, farmers markets, and plenty of people out and about. It's very walkable (and even has free public transportation throughout the downtown) so it's perfect place to play an escape game adventure. And while you play, you are surrounded by gorgeous views, because the town is directly at the foot of the mountains. At night, the Temple lights up, creating a beautiful sight against the backdrop of the mountains. And while Salt Lake City is quieter than many cities its size, a thriving food scene and increasing selection of coffee shops and bars offer plenty to do after you play.
