This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in Austin. It takes you on a clue-solving adventure to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on our Austin escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way. In Escapely's Austin escape room, you are a top secret spy tasked with exposing a ring of double agents threatening to take down the agency. We suggest starting at Capitol Cafe at 1001 Congress Ave #180 because it's close to the first clue. You will head to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission which oversees all of the state libraries in Texas. You will also venture to the Texas State Capitol grounds to visit the Tejano Monument, which honors the role Tejano settlers have played in Texas history. Nearby, you will also stop by the Texas African American History Memorial, which depicts June 19th 1865, also known as Juneteenth, when African Americans were freed from slavery. It also celebrates other notable events in African American Texas history. You will get some interesting Austin architecture as you visit the Norwood tower, a 16-story Gothic skyscraper. In 1929, it was the first building in Austin with central air conditioning and electric elevators. Today, it has been refurbished. Finally, you will stop by the Paramount Theater in downtown Austin, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. You can end the game anywhere you would like, but we suggest Punch Bowl Social on 522 Congress Ave. It has music, food, drinks, and games! It even has bowling lanes. Great Father's Day activity!
As Father’s Day approaches every year, I’m always asked what I want to do on the day. This year, I asked that the whole family do the Austin escape room with me. With older kids (15, 21, 25) it’s hard to have family activities, but everyone consented on Father’s Day.
We had a great time. We could go in the morning, when it was cool, and everyone was add to the problem-solving. When we got stuck, we made use of the Hints to keep the frustration at bay and to keep the fun rolling. The route included some great places for pictures and the walking distance was just right. Great way to spend Father’s Day.

Great date day idea. We enjoyed the scavenger hunt and puzzles. Good activity to learn and exercise! Glad there were plenty of hints to get us through the tougher parts.

We did this as a family adventure. Great experience! The puzzles were engaging but not too difficult to become frustrating. Very well put-together escape “room”. Good excuse to get out of the house and explore the city.

We had such a blast! We did this for my daughter’s 13th birthday with some of her friends and they had a great time. It was great to get to see some sites in Austin we hadn’t seen yet and to learn about some of the history. The game was easy to navigate through and getting hints was easy. I highly recommend!

Unusual Group Fun
Such an usual and fun experience for my family and friends! I think it was 10 of us who all worked together to solve the clues around downtown Austin and figure out the end goal. Some of the clues were harder than others but the hints helped us solve it when needed. Plus it was fun just to walk around downtown, stop for a rest at a bar, and have a lot of laughs. A really great idea and so glad we did it.
