Begin solving using anything you see in the box. Scan the QR code to input your solution and find out where to go.

You get to search for clues hidden in the real world and then use them to solve escape room puzzles. When you solve for a code, the app will tell you where to go look for your next clue! Instead of trying to escape the room, this Escapely adventure takes you around Raleigh to track down ghosts and reunite two star-crossed lovers!

This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in Raleigh Durham. It takes you on a clue-solving adventure to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on our Raleigh escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way.

Escapely's Raleigh outdoor escape room starts off with a visit to Bicentennial Plaza between the North Carolina State Capitol and the North Carolina Legislative Building. Among other things, you can stop by to see an exact replica of the Liberty Bell! The only difference is if you'd like, you can make it ring.

The next part of our Raleigh outdoor escape room will take you to the Olivia Raney Library, which has a large collection of materials pertaining to local history. You won't need to go inside for a clue, but you can stop in if you're interested in learning a little more about Wake County! Finally, you'll end up on Fayetteville St in the heart of downtown Raleigh. If you're there on Wednesday, check out the Farmer's Market. And if you finish the escape room toward evening time, celebrate your victory at one of the many local bars and restaurants (we'll even recommend one when you finish the escape game!).

Your Escape The City game will arrive in the mail to the address provided at checkout. If you are purchasing last-minute, you can select in-person pickup at checkout to pick up your game locally that same day (or on a future date). Search your email for "escapely in-person" after purchase and respond with your preferred pickup date and time so we can set it up!

Yes, but it is not generally recommended unless you are a serious escape room enthusiast. It would be like playing an escape room that has the same storyline and similar puzzles, but with different clues available. Because the clues are integrated throughout downtown Raleigh, the clues themselves are different from all other Relic games. But the puzzles will feel very familiar.

Downtown Raleigh is the perfect spot for an outdoor escape adventure because it's a walkable and vibrant area! The whole game takes place on foot. The walkable streets and green areas make it feel like a strong sense of community. There are also some great foodie spots in the area so you can either eat and drink as you find clues or sit down at the end of the game to celebrate your escape! And if it's your thing, there are loads of bars and cocktail spots in the area.

Park as close as you can to the North Carolina Capitol Building to be near the first clue. If you play on a weekday, there are some lots that offer two hours of free parking. On the weekends, you'll need to find a paid lot or a metered spot!
