The best Minneapolis escape room experience
About the escape room game
This escape room adventure around Downtown East and the Mill District takes the best parts of an escape room and the best parts of a scavenger hunt and merges them into the most fun thing to do in Minneapolis. You get to search for clues hidden in the real world and then use them to solve escape room puzzles. When you solve for a code, the app will tell you where to go look for your next clue! Instead of trying to escape the room, this Escapely adventure takes you around Minneapolis to track down clues and expose double agents!
This real world escape room is the most unique escape room in Minneapolis. It takes you on a clue-solving adventure around the Mill District to find clues, solve puzzles, and follow an immersive storyline. If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on our Minneapolis escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way.
In Escapely's Minneapolis escape room, you are a top secret spy tasked with exposing a ring of double agents threatening to take down the agency. We suggest starting at a coffee shop close to your first clue so that you can sit down and solve the first puzzle. You will then travel to find a clue at the Mill City Museum, which is built in the ruins of an old flour mill and worth a visit in its own right. You'll walk right by the iconic and historic Gold Medal Flour signs, which are located right on the river and remind viewers of one of the most recognizable Minneapolis brands. You will also get to search for clues in Gold Medal Park! About half of the game takes place in the Mill District.
The escape room will take you right up to the US Bank Football stadium where the Minnesota Vikings play. Depending on your penchant for crowds, you may want to play your escape room around football game days! It isn't required, but one option to end the game and play the last puzzle is to visit the food trucks at The Commons, a huge park in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. If you have time, you can stick around for outdoor movies and musical performances when the weather is nice in the summer. Another great option is to bring a picnic to enjoy at one of the green spaces in The Commons after you play.

Fun unique experience!
We had a great time playing this real world escape room. The experience is similar to other “board game” style escape rooms, but what sets this apart is the real world clues around the city. All of the clues are in the downtown area around the stone arch bridge and east side of downtown. It will take around 2-3 hours or so to complete.
Would absolutely recommend this if you live in the Twin Cities and are looking for something different on a nice day.

Such a fun way to experience Minneapolis "Downtown East "
Hi!
This was an ad that came across my Insta feed. My friend and I are a big fan of Minneapolis history and local culture. We enjoyed the hell out of the adventure, seeing all these familiar places but in a whole new context. The difficulty level was pretty impressive really. We managed a couple of the challenges without hints. But even with the hints, it was such a fun process.
I truly hope you are able to put out more versions for Minnesota! I’ll be buying more of these just to go through it again with other family and friends!
Thanks!

Great walking puzzle tour of Minneapolis
We had a great time doing this puzzle box. We’re a group of experienced escape room folks with over 300 rooms under our belt. Now this wasn’t a typical escape room as it was a box full of puzzles that you actually complete while walking locations in a city with ours being in Minneapolis. We’re local so we were very familiar with the locations we visited and there were a series of puzzles associated with otherwise innocuous items in the area, which was super cool to have that physical aspect that you could never get in a room itself. The puzzles were logical and somewhat challenging. If your newer to escape rooms, no worries because there was a series of clues with increasing clarity on the puzzle if you need it. This would be a fun experience for a local or someone traveling to the twin cities. Also a great gift for a puzzler or escape artist in your life. We actually enjoyed this so much that we bought the Chicago version for the next time we travel there! I love that the boxes give you suggestions for restaurants or food trucks nearby and lead you to some very cool sites in the city. Now if you do the Minneapolis one, I would suggest you take a little aside and make sure you hit the stone arch bridge as well. It’s one of my favorite things in the city, but you’ll get taken by the mill district and get to check out the football stadium! I highly recommend trying out this experience and enjoying a fun afternoon with your friends solving puzzles!!

Great family fun!
My 12-year-old and I spent four hours in our hometown of Minneapolis, working together and being creative and just enjoying each other’s company. It’s getting harder to find things he and I can do together, and this was perfect. Please create another Minneapolis adventure!
