Open your clue box near the west side of Lake Eola Park to begin your adventure.
Begin solving using anything you see in the box. Scan the QR code to input your solution and find out where to go.
Search for real-world clues hidden around Orlando and use them to solve puzzles. When you input the correct code, the app will tell you where to go and what to do!
If you get stuck, the no-download app has as many hints as you need. It also has storyline, videos, and more.

PLAYING TIME: 1.5-3 hours depending on experience level and how much you eat, drink, and explore along the way
WALKING DISTANCE: About 1.5 miles around Lake Eola Park.
PLAYERS PER BOX: We suggest 2-6 so that everyone can share the clues, but it's completely up to you. You can even play alone!
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Adjustable. There's no penalty for hints, so you can take them frequently or challenge yourself.

Fantastic Outdoor Orlando Experience

We thought the game was awesome! It was a fun family experience to spend the day walking around outside in downtown Orlando! Great way to get the kids engaged and off devices! There were one or two clues that were pretty tough, but over all it was a great time and we had a blast. Our favorite part was exploring our city in a new way with our family and getting outside! Would love more of these for the central Florida area.

Good tour for serotonin and sight seeing

I really enjoyed this! I’ve lived in downtown Orlando for years so it was nice to see old places in New ways. Wear comfortable shoes! Overall I thought it was challenging without being so difficult it is frustrating. And of course solving the solution gives a serotonin hit.

Lots of fun with the family!

It was a fun activity, my family got multiple kits and we raced. My team came in last, but we had fewer people so it’s all OK. A wonderful time was had by all.

If I could have one piece of criticism, finding the locations was sometimes rather difficult. If there were addresses or coordinates included in the instructions that we could use to navigate our way to a recommended starting point for each clue hunt, that would’ve made things a lot easier.

Fun, interactive, and a bargain!

Lake Eola Outdoor Escape Room was a game-changer for our nonprofit board retreat! Unlike traditional escape rooms that can feel a bit stiff, this one let ys enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery while solving puzzles. We had a blast, took a break for some food, and had a totally laid-back experience. Definitely recommend it!

Super fun activity!

This was such a fun twist on a scavenger hunt and escape game! The clues were challenging but not impossible and the hints super helpful when needed, and it was so fun to walk around my own city and see parts of it that I never paid attention to before. I wish we had more boxes for Orlando because I would definitely do this again, but it’s also cool to think about exploring other cities in a similar way. A great idea and a super fun way to spend a few hours!

If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on Escapely's Orlando escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way.

In Escapely's Orlando escape room, you're a detective tasked with solving a mysterious murder. You must find clues and track suspects around Lake Eola Park. (The clues are in the real world, but the suspects are on our app.) The game begins a few blocks west of Lake Eola at Wall Street Plaza. From there, you will head to Heritage Square Park in search of your next clue. The rest of the game takes place around Lake Eola Park. First, you must find a clue at or near the Fantasy Swan sculpture. It was actually donated by the author of a story about a princess and a swan who found their home in Lake Eola.

You will find other clues in the area and get to walk out onto a brick pier with a beautiful view of the lake. If you have time to walk to entire perimeter of the lake, the path is slightly less than a mile and offers beautiful views of downtown Orlando. If you're with kids, you can rent paddle boats to paddle around the lake - they're in the shape of swans because of the many swans found in Lake Eola. You can also get some pictures of the ducks and geese. This outdoor escape room is the perfect way to explore the most beautiful and walkable part of downtown Orlando.

Yes, but it is not generally recommended unless you are a serious escape room enthusiast. It would be like playing an escape room that has the same storyline and similar puzzles, but with different clues available. Because the clues are integrated within Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando, the clues are different than all other Whodunnit games. But the puzzles will feel familiar.

Lake Eola Park is a beautiful lake and green space in Downtown Orlando with a pedestrian walkway circling the entire thing. It's very walkable and a wonderful place to be outside playing an escape room. The park offers gorgeous views of the Orlando skyline, and there are sculptures to admire around the perimeter. If you're hungry, there are a handful of restaurants to choose from after you play!

It's both! In a traditional escape room you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next to escape the room (or a series of rooms). In Escape the City you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next, with clues in the real world. It's one of the best things to do in Orlando!

Escapely's Orlando escape room starts a few blocks west of Lake Eola and ends near the south edge of the lake, so you can choose whether to start near the beginning of the route, the end, or somewhere in the middle. If you are looking for free parking, it is available on the east side of Lake Eola Park on Eola Dr, but know that it will increase your walking distance.
