Open your clue box near the west side of Lake Eola Park to begin your adventure.
Begin solving using anything you see in the box. Scan the QR code to input your solution and find out where to go.
Search for real-world clues hidden around Orlando and use them to solve puzzles. When you input the correct code, the app will tell you where to go and what to do!
If you get stuck, the no-download app has as many hints as you need. It also has storyline, videos, and more.

PLAYING TIME: 1.5-3 hours depending on experience level and how much you eat, drink, and explore along the way
WALKING DISTANCE: About 1.5 miles around Lake Eola Park.
PLAYERS PER BOX: We suggest 2-6 so that everyone can share the clues, but it's completely up to you. You can even play alone!
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Adjustable. There's no penalty for hints, so you can take them frequently or challenge yourself.

Fun mystery tour of the Lake Eola area

This was a fun way to explore a bit of our city. Some of the puzzles were simple, others were fairly challenging. My only complaint is that the last two puzzles were both generic and had nothing to do with Orlando or our walking scavenger hunt.

Fun afternoon

My husband and I definitely had fun doing the escape box—we live in the outskirts of Orlando but had never been down to Lake Eola and enjoyed having a reason to be out and about in that area and exploring! That was the best part for us was the exploration and going from location to location; if anything I think that they could even be a bit farther spaced apart! I did not like how we doubled back over the same path essentially at one point, I would have rather gone back a different route to see more of the city. My favorite puzzles were the ones that had to do with real life locations, those were the best. I do wish more of it had been out in the environment kind of clues rather than clues we had to do on pieces of paper or within the box with no regard to where we were physically. I also kind of thought that there would be some interaction with either the shop keepers or locations themselves, but I understand that that might be kind of challenging to accomplish. Overall, I think more puzzles that have to do with the general environment and covering more physical ground are better! Some of the puzzles we found extremely easy, but there were also a couple that were very difficult/a bit nonsensical and I don’t know how we would have solved them without hints. We also got confused by a first set of directions telling us where to go at one of the locations— it wasn’t very detailed so we were wandering around the wrong location for a long time before we finally googled it. But overall, we had a great experience and I would definitely purchase another box if there were another one sold for our area!

Terrific Family friendly non-Disney Orlando Experience!

What a terrific alternative non Disney option. My 10 year old daughter and I stumbled upon this while looking for a family friendly non-touristy way to fill our day. This was so much fun. Parts were a little challenging but we just took our time and enjoyed the beautiful day. The setting is beautiful and we took breaks to eat and enjoy the swan boats. If you are looking for something fun – You need to try this. We just had a blast!!

Fantastic Outdoor Orlando Experience

We thought the game was awesome! It was a fun family experience to spend the day walking around outside in downtown Orlando! Great way to get the kids engaged and off devices! There were one or two clues that were pretty tough, but over all it was a great time and we had a blast. Our favorite part was exploring our city in a new way with our family and getting outside! Would love more of these for the central Florida area.

If you want to keep the experience a surprise, don't read this next bit - it contains some spoilers about where you'll go on Escapely's Orlando escape room adventure and what you'll see along the way.

In Escapely's Orlando escape room, you're a detective tasked with solving a mysterious murder. You must find clues and track suspects around Lake Eola Park. (The clues are in the real world, but the suspects are on our app.) The game begins a few blocks west of Lake Eola at Wall Street Plaza. From there, you will head to Heritage Square Park in search of your next clue. The rest of the game takes place around Lake Eola Park. First, you must find a clue at or near the Fantasy Swan sculpture. It was actually donated by the author of a story about a princess and a swan who found their home in Lake Eola.

You will find other clues in the area and get to walk out onto a brick pier with a beautiful view of the lake. If you have time to walk to entire perimeter of the lake, the path is slightly less than a mile and offers beautiful views of downtown Orlando. If you're with kids, you can rent paddle boats to paddle around the lake - they're in the shape of swans because of the many swans found in Lake Eola. You can also get some pictures of the ducks and geese. This outdoor escape room is the perfect way to explore the most beautiful and walkable part of downtown Orlando.

Yes, but it is not generally recommended unless you are a serious escape room enthusiast. It would be like playing an escape room that has the same storyline and similar puzzles, but with different clues available. Because the clues are integrated within Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando, the clues are different than all other Whodunnit games. But the puzzles will feel familiar.

Lake Eola Park is a beautiful lake and green space in Downtown Orlando with a pedestrian walkway circling the entire thing. It's very walkable and a wonderful place to be outside playing an escape room. The park offers gorgeous views of the Orlando skyline, and there are sculptures to admire around the perimeter. If you're hungry, there are a handful of restaurants to choose from after you play!

It's both! In a traditional escape room you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next to escape the room (or a series of rooms). In Escape the City you must solve puzzles that lead from one to the next, with clues in the real world. It's one of the best things to do in Orlando!

Escapely's Orlando escape room starts a few blocks west of Lake Eola and ends near the south edge of the lake, so you can choose whether to start near the beginning of the route, the end, or somewhere in the middle. If you are looking for free parking, it is available on the east side of Lake Eola Park on Eola Dr, but know that it will increase your walking distance.
