Perfect birthday present- Fulton Market Escapely

My daughter and I did a NYC escape room nine years ago for my birthday -that was fun, but this was better! The clues for Chicago’s Fulton Market Escapely were challenging, but not too challenging. And if you get stuck, there are good hints. The clues give you a chance to explore the neighborhood. It is a very cool neighborhood. What a great way to spend a fall afternoon- exercising both mind and body with my daughter! Couldn’t ask for a better birthday present!

    Fun and Challenging!

My wife and I had a blast doing the Chicago-Fulton Market Escapely box! It is definitely challenging and requires you to think outside of the box, but can be tiered to any difficulty setting based on how willing/wanting you are to use the hints available. We only used a couple when stuck, but felt like with a bigger group it would be just as fun and fewer hints would be needed. I can’t wait for more Chicago neighborhoods to come out!

    Chicago City Adventure Box

This was our first Escapely City Adventure box and we had a blast. The Fulton Market area was a great neighborhood to explore (even as a Chicago resident). The puzzles were challenging and fun but not so much that we spent too many hours on them. Great date night activity! Would recommend a warmer month than February 🙂

    Interesting

I love the game concept. It was based in Chicago and I’m not in Chicago so I used some of the game contents to build a murder mystery as a team building activity and my team loved it. I played the introduction for them played out a fake body in the floor and had them figure out pieces to the puzzle. They had a great time.

A Nice Challenge Even for Experienced Escape Roomers

My wife and I are experienced Escape Roomers, 50+ so far. We found the box very enjoyable and surprisingly challenging. It’s not just a scavenger hunt to find things in the neighborhood. You have to complete logic puzzles along the way. They’re tough but not impossible, the clues point you in the right direction without giving too much away. Solving them always comes with a nice little ego boost, the puzzles aren’t gimmes.

The package recommends bringing a shoulder bag with you which is a good idea. You do have to carry a decent amount of stuff with you and pockets were barely enough for us.

We had a great time and if they expand to other nearby areas we’d definitely be down for trying those.
