    Get this game!

The game is a blast. I’ve lived in Atlanta for 33 years and didn’t even know all of the clues. Between the two of us we found the puzzles challenging in an entertaining way. It’s taken us a while, but our problem is that we stop to have beer and food while doing this, ha ha. The first clue took us a long time, but once we learned how the game is put together it became just the right amount of challenge. Favorite part of the game? Probably the mental exercises you have to go through to figure out the clues. None of them are overly difficult, but neither she nor I think in that manner on a regular basis, so shifting our mindsets for a while is probably my favorite part of the game. Little 5 Points is a great, quirky neighborhood.

    Fun little date day

My partner and I had a good time playing this game. We enjoy doing escape rooms together, but we have been sad that we haven’t been able to rent out entire rooms for ourselves recently the way we did right after the pandemic. We are both from Atlanta, and we’re a bit surprised that little five points was the location selected for this for this game. The is eclectic and divey, but a bit hit or miss, as there are many unhoused people, and expect yourself to be walking through clouds of smoke of various varieties throughout the entire experience. It is not an area I would recommend for someone to visit who is looking for their first taste of Atlanta.

If they were to do another version of this game, we would love to do it at Ponce City Market, or somewhere along the Beltline. Or another neighborhood like Virginia Highlands or Inman Park.

A fun new way to see an old friend of an neighborhood

I got this as a birthday present for my wife (she loves mystery games). The suggested start point (Java Lords) was a great place to start as we could just grab a table and some coffees and dig into the adventure. Once we got through the first couple of puzzles, the game was afoot – literally. We walked all around L5P and the game does a nice job of guiding you through area and letting you see it really well, versus just driving by. I’m an Atlanta native who’s been going to L5P off and on since the 80’s and it was still cool to see it in this new light.

As it isn’t on a timer, we took a lunch break at the Vortex. There was one business that was listed in one of the puzzles that is sadly not there anymore, however, I brought this to the attention of Escapely and it has already been fixed. I guess that’s the ‘danger’ of this kind of game that takes place in the real world, but it didn’t affect our outing. If you are looking for a reason to get out out of the house and have fun with friends or family, there’s a lot worse you could do.

    So much fun!

My husband and I did the Atlanta Escape the City game. We explored Little Five Points which is a cool part of town. We had a lot of fun figuring out the clues. It took us a little while to get started but we got the hang of it and then had a great time looking for the real world clues. Each puzzle was different and creative. The app was very helpful when we got stuck. We will definitely try another city when we get the opportunity. This would be great for the family, a date night, or a group of friends. It took us a little over four hours, but that included a stop for lunch and a short break to grab a drink.

A great way to explore Little Five Points

I had such a fun time with this game! This is a linear puzzle exploration experience where you will open the box at the designated starting point and then follow the adventure from there as solving one puzzle will lead you to the next location as you zig zag across Little Five Points.

I loved how the puzzles were integrated into the surroundings of the neighborhood and at times even require you to enter into a store. There were many moments of joy when the “ah-ha!” moment came to me with each puzzle and found myself saying out loud, to myself, “oooh that’s so clever!” Puzzle difficulty varied from easy to medium, and any experienced escape roomer will have a good time, but it was also approachable for newcomers as well.

I completed this experience as a solo player and found it took me around 3 hours, but I was also prone to slow down and enjoy the scenery and at one point stopped to grab a snack. I imagine it would move faster and be a lot of fun with a larger group, but I think it was a great solo adventure.

What I appreciated most, beyond the puzzling, was that it forced me to slow down and really admire everything that Little Five Points has to offer. The neighborhood is filled with art and little details that are easy to miss if you’re just there to visit one particular store or restaurant.
