Open your clue box anywhere near the Spirit of Detroit Plaza to begin your adventure.
Begin solving using anything you see in the box. Scan the QR code to input your solution and find out where to go.
Search for real-world clues hidden around downtown Detroit and use them to solve puzzles. When you input the correct code, the app will tell you where to go and what to do!
If you get stuck, the no-download app has as many hints as you need. It also has storyline, videos, and more.
Play at your own pace. There's no penalty for hints and no one gets timed out.

Absolutely amazing!

This was an absolutely amazing experience. I grew up right outside of Detroit and learned so many things about the city! It is perfectly organized and you can do it as fast or as slow as you want to. You can stop along the way if you’d like. Highly highly recommend. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

Unlocked: Our Detroit Outdoor Escape Room Review (loved it!)

We had so much fun – it was the perfect “day date” for our anniversary! The difficulty level was perfect and we were thrilled to explore Detroit and see parts of it that we had never seen before. We would definitely recommend this experience for couples or groups. We are going to try out other cities in our travels as well!

Escapely was great to work with. I received an email from an actual person (not an automated bot!) immediately upon booking and another afterwards to make sure we had a good time.

The only (very) minor glitch was the kit pickup at a local restaurant – it took a little while for the restaurant to locate the kit as the first few employees that I talked to didn’t know what I was talking about. Not really a big issue though – they were all super nice and the kit was located within a reasonable amount of time. I recommend planning far enough in advance to have the kit sent to you directly if you want to avoid this minor blip. Overall, an amazing experience!

FUN and a perfect level of challenging!

I freaking LOVED it! I thought the difficulty level was perfect. I took my team out of work for 1/2 a day as a team building exercise. NO issues with the game. The only issue we had was that I felt a little crunched for time because I was feeling pressure to get done and get back to work before we lost more work time! In the end, we only had to use clues to solve two of the puzzles, but NONE of them were too easy on us.

FUN! We want to do another!

We did the Escapley in Detroit and loved it. The clues were good and fun. We definitely had to use some hints. We ran into another group doing it as well and they were enjoying it also. We learned so much about the city and my son love taking pictures of all of the art that we didn’t know exsisted. I hope that you are able to make more for Detroit because we would love to do it again!

In Escapely's Detroit escape room, you are a top secret spy tasked with exposing a ring of double agents threatening to take down the agency. We suggest starting near the Spirit of Detroit Plaza, an outdoor event space where everyone in Detroit can enjoy fun and entertainment. The first stop is the International Memorial to the Underground Railroad. Not only is it an important historical marker, but it sits on the Detroit riverwalk. It's peaceful, scenic, and romantic. If you're in the mood for some exercise, you can rent bikes and ride up and down, and if you're with kids you can even walk down to the carousel!

The next clue will be found at the Transcending Monument in Hart Plaza, which honors the Detroit labor movement. You'll continue on to the UAW-Ford Joint Trusts Center, the Penobscot Building, the Detroit City Club apartments, and Harmonie Park. We suggest ending the game at Campus Martius Park, which always has a handful food trucks on hand. If none of those suit your fancy and you have worked up an appetite, there are many restaurants in walking distance.

The experience will be identical, except you will be dealing with different sets of clues. Because the clues are integrated within downtown Detroit, they are distinct from all other Spyhunter games, but the puzzles will feel familiar.
